GREEN LENDING

We have an ambition that 50% of our mortgage book is secured against homes with an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rated C or above by 2030. Clients who are purchasing an energy efficient property, with an A or B  EPC rating, or clients improving their EPC rating to C or above after choosing a mortgage with Coutts could be eligible for a discount on their arrangement fee, up to 12 months after completion.

We also support the Green Home Retrofit Finance Principles, which ensure loans are given only to energy-efficiency work that meets industry-accepted standards in UK homes.

Your home or property may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage. Over-18s only. Terms and conditions apply.

You may not be eligible for all Coutts mortgage solutions. Security may be required. Product fees may apply.

INVESTING RESPONSIBLY

We invest responsibly, with integrity and purpose across all our investment products to help protect the future while paving the way to long-term, sustainable wealth. That means our clients are too.

THREE KEY FACTS:

1.

Our approach to responsible investing involves embedding it into every single aspect of how we handle our client portfolios and funds. We don’t offer one standalone sustainability product. It’s central to all our products and underpins every investment decision we make.

2.

We have introduced a number of important exclusions from our portfolios and funds which means we now do not invest in companies overly involved in high impact fossil fuels.

3.

We have signed up to the UN-backed Principles of Responsible Investment. This leading body conducts an annual, independent assessment of our responsible investing practices, and we have scored extremely highly – in line with or ahead of the wider industry.
